Less Than 100 Words Tip 001
Take it off! Remove ALL makeup thoroughly before working out. Products can clog pores very easily, making it hard for sweat to exit your body. Since pimples are caused from dirt, oil and sweat, the trapped ingredients will stew in your pores and create a nice pimple for you to deal with in the morning.

Spotlight: Primer
Why Prime?
Primer does a lot more than create a smooth base for you to apply your eye shadow. It prevents creasing, helps the colors pop and if you have oily skin, it keeps the color from looking wet (yuck).
Think of the crafts you used to do in kindergarten when you used GLITTER! If you dump some glitter on a piece of paper, some of it will naturally stay because, according to Demetri Martin, “glitter is the herpes of art supplies.” However, a good portion of it will fall right off onto the table, onto your lap and when it’s on your skin, it always seems like you can never remove ALL of it. When you swipe your page with a glue stick, however, all of the glitter sticks to the page and STAYS there.
That’s what primer will do for your lids! The color stays where you want it to and a good primer won’t be heavy. It’ll make you feel like you have nothing on at all.
You don’t necessarily NEED a primer if you’re going with one color on your lid and a highlight on your brow bone. Especially if you’ll be wearing it for less than 6 hours. However, overall, I would recommend always using a primer because all of your color gathered in the crease is never cute. Ever.
Can’t you just use a liquid foundation?
Well… I, personally, would argue that no, you can’t. That’s not what it’s made for. I’ve tried a few times and each time I do, it’s like the color gets sucked into the foundation and I end up having to use twice the amount of eye shadow to get it to look like it’s supposed to. Then my eyelids feel heavy and it’s just not worth it. It might work for some people, but it definitely doesn’t work for me.
If you’re on the fence about it, you’re not sure, you don’t want to spend $20, try Urban Decay’s Primer Potion ($18) in Sin or Eden. You can wear those by themselves- without any shadow on top! It gives away a flawless, I’m not wearing any makeup look! I love that these can double as a shadow. Sometimes, if I’m really lazy, I just wear Sin by itself for a little gold shimmer that looks gorgeous.

The Foundation
To make a long story short, this blog is going to feature posts about makeup. I will post personal reviews on products, how to’s and tons of other fun things! Also, the ASK BOX is enabled, so feel free to ask me questions. I promise to stay on top of those.
I AM NOT A PROFESSIONAL MAKEUP ARTIST. I am a 22 year old whose main hobby includes collecting cosmetics. I’ll touch on brands from Dior to Cover Girl, so hopefully there will be something for everyone.
I AM NOT CLAIMING TO KNOW EVERYTHING THERE IS TO KNOW ABOUT MAKEUP. On the contrary, actually. I love learning new things, new tricks, trying new things and finding out what works and what doesn’t. The point of this blog is for me, who is someone who does A LOT of makeup trial and error, to share what I’ve found and learned recently!
I got into makeup at a young age as my mother was an Avon representative. I became completely enthralled with all things cosmetics. I believe makeup to be an art form as well as a unique type of self-expression. I’m always up for trying new products and I always love playing around- creating new looks and having fun.
